Outback Steakhouse is an Australian themed family restaurant specializing in grilled menu items. It is not only a place for a variety of steaks, such as ribeye or filet. They also have ribs, pork, chicken, fish, shrimp, and lobster on the menu served with 2 side dishes. You can start off your meal with an appetizer like Spinach Artichoke dip or Aussie Cheese fries or opt for the pumpernickel bread and butter that comes with the meal and is served first with your drinks. Delicious salads and soups are also available. When the entree arrives, you may audibly gasp at the huge size of the portions on your plate. I usually order the fantastic Norwegian Salmon with a gigantic sized veggie (mixed or broccoli, and no I am not kidding about the size..) and the always yummy garlic mashed potatoes. I get a To Go\Doggie bag whenever I eat there. Then there are the desserts which are irresistable. Try the Chocolate Thunder, cheesecake, carrot cake, or a sundae. As an option, you can go for the dessert sampler to try a taste of each at the end of the lunch or dinner.
At steakhouses, I sometimes do not want the meat options and will be creative with the vegetable options in their menu to create my meal. I stated before that the vegetables are huge, so I will order a couple of the sides with a potato option and add a side salad with ranch to make up my dinner. To pay myself back with a reward for my low calorie, veggie option choice, I then get the yummy carrot cake for dessert!
The restaurants have wonderful service and use a medium colored wood in the decor. Outside, there are heaters for evening dining and umbrellas for daytime dining. Most have curbside pickup should you have the Outback craving, but no time to wait for seating and dining in the restaurant.
