Ruby's Diner resaurants will take you into the 1940's with their decor, menu, and employees. They have a wonderful menu with shareable appetizers like zippity zuchini, frings (onion rings and fries for the indecisive), spicy jalapeno jack cheese sticks, or chicken tenders (regular or buffalo flavor - hot!). Then there are the burgers: Classic (the Ruby burger, Rubymelt, Super Burger, Aloha burger, and more), the Natural (All American, Cobb, Portobello Provolone), and the Double Deluxe (the All Natural, Veggie-only 594 calories!, or the Gluten Free). The handmade shakes and malts are straight out of a 1940's diner: Double Vanilla, Strawberry, Banana, Chocolate Turtle, and the list goes on.
They do have regular sandwiches, too. The Vegwich, Rubyclub, Albacore Tuna, Texas Grilled Cheese, or Deluxe BLTA are all delicious. For those that are looking for a healthier option at Ruby's Diner, they have fresh salads and soups such as the Cobb, Mediterranean, or Cashew Chicken salads as well as the very vegetable soup or clam chowder. Chicken, Fish, or Veggie Tacos and Seafood are also available on the menu. As a nice finish to your meal at Ruby's, they have some delecatable desserts such as Rubysundaes (vanilla with whip cream, chocolate, hot fudge, strawberry, pineapple, carmel, or black cherry topping), a Banana Split, or Fresh Baked ala Mode Apple Pie.
Ruby's Diners are located mostly in California and Pennsylvania with some restaurants in New Jersey, Hawaii, and Texas. Ruby's Diner has Fun Raisers where 20% get contributed of all food and regular beverage sales to your cause. They also have a Complimentary Kid's Meal certificate for outstanding academic achievement, good citizen, sport superstar, and courageous kids at the dentist or doctor. There is also a scrip program for schools, churches, and non-profits.
